Fair Play Code for Players

  • I am playing to have fun, to improve my skills and to make friends.
  • I will treat all players, coaches, officials, sponsors, volunteers and executive fairly, honestly, and with dignity.
  • I will adopt a ‘zero tolerance’ attitude toward verbal or physical abuse.
  • I will learn the rules of ice hockey. This will help me to be a better player,appreciate the referee’s tasks on the ice and to better understand their decisions.
  • I will applaud great efforts no matter who makes them.

Fair Play Code for Coaches

  • I will remember that the players are playing to have fun and to learn the game. 
  • I will ensure that all players receive equal instruction, encouragement, support, and ice time.
  • I will treat all players, coaches, officials, sponsors, volunteers and executive fairly, honestly, and with dignity.
  • I will encourage my players to respect the rules, and to be aware of the physical safety of themselves, their teammates and their opponents.
  • I accept the responsibility to communicate openly and fairly with all members of the league (executive, coaches, players, referees, volunteers and committee members.)

Fair Play Code for Officials

  • I will act in a professional and businesslike manner at all times and take my role seriously.
  • I will keep things is perspective. 
  • I understand that this is a women’s non-body contact, recreational hockey league. 
  • I will show due diligence in calling unnecessary body contact.
  • I will intervene quickly in any situation that threatens the safety of the players.
  • I will not permit the intimidation of my peers, any player or myself either by word or by action.
  • I will treat all players, coaches, officials, sponsors, volunteers and executive fairly, honestly, and with dignity.

Fair Play Code for Executive

  • We will treat all players, coaches, officials, sponsors, volunteers and committee members fairly, honestly, and with dignity.
  • We will advocate the core values of sportsmanship, respect for individuals, integrity, the pursuit of excellence, enjoyment, loyalty, and teamwork.
  • We will distribute fair play codes to coaches, players, and officials at the start of the season.
  • We will communicate to the players, volunteers, officials and coaches our expectations of their responsibilities within our league.
  • We will do out best to support recommendations suggested by players and committees.
  • We will acknowledge and appreciate all organizations and individuals who donate financial assistance and volunteer time to support our league.
